Christmas. It's a magical time of year fraught with meaning and joy. And every year I look forward to sharing the excitement of the season with my family. Together we fix our focus on the reason we celebrate, but along the way we have fun with the characters and images that invoke wonder and imagination!
But why post a blog about Christmas now? It's a simmering 95 degrees outside and mustering up images of hot chocolate and fireplaces aglow with burning wood are not at the forefront of most people's thoughts!
Well the answer is pretty simple. Christmas in July! Let me explain. For years I have taken my children to see Santa...at the mall. I have forked over ridiculous amounts of money for a quick snapshot printed out of a cheap printer on cheap paper. No editing, no care taken in capturing the moments my children spent with this man who claims to fulfill all their fleeting Christmas wishes.
So...when I began this adventure of launching a photography business it hit me that I no longer had to pay someone else for pictures with a generic mall Santa! I began to seek out the best Santa in town and catch those memories I wanted...but even then I knew there was something better. I was still getting snapshots. Still waiting in lines and crowded rooms. Still looking for more.
So this year I am excited...no, THRILLED...to offer "The Magic of Santa" mini sessions! And even better, to offer a special "Christmas in July" rate!
These sessions will provide families with exclusive one-on-one time with Albany's premier Santa as well as beautiful, heirloom-quality images that will be cherished for years.
Mini-sessions last for 10 minutes and include a professionally edited gallery of images. From there you will choose one (1) favorite high-resolution digital file, two (2) 5x7 prints, and the option to purchase additional prints or digital files. You will also receive a mobile gallery app to install on your phone or tablet so you can share your images wherever you go!
